Visit a church and experience Christian faith
Find a local church and attend one of its main Sunday services. Check its website beforehand so that you know the time, location and what to expect.
You do not need to know the prayers, understand every part of the service or pretend to believe anything. Sit wherever you feel comfortable and take part only as much as you wish.
Simply experience what happens: people gathering to worship God, hear from the Bible, pray and encourage one another.
Afterwards, complete this sentence:
“This experience showed me that Christian faith is ________.”
Your answer may be positive, uncertain or critical. The purpose is not to force a conclusion, but to experience Christianity as something lived by real people rather than only described in words.
If attending in person is not possible, watch a complete service from a local church online.
Christians believe that faith is more than privately agreeing with a set of beliefs. It is a life of trusting Jesus, learning from him and becoming part of a community that worships and follows him.
Churches are made up of imperfect people, but Christians believe that Jesus meets people there through worship, prayer, the Bible, the Holy Spirit and the care of other believers.
