What do Christians believe about Jesus?

Christians believe that Jesus is God, who came to earth and lived among us as a human being. He experienced ordinary human life, including friendship, temptation, grief, rejection, suffering and death, yet Christians believe that he did not sin.

Through Jesus’ words and actions, Christians believe that God revealed his character and purposes. Jesus taught people to love God and one another, forgive others, care for those in need and live with truth, mercy and humility.

Christians believe that human sin separates people from God. They believe that Jesus willingly died on the cross for our sins so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.

They believe that Jesus rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven. His resurrection shows that death is not the end and that he has opened the way to resurrection and eternal life with God.

Christians believe that Jesus is alive and can be known personally. He invites people to trust him, receive his forgiveness, follow his teaching and allow him to change the direction of their lives.

This means that Christians see Jesus as far more than a teacher, prophet or moral example. They believe that he is God, who came to reveal himself to humanity, save people from sin and restore their relationship with him.

Christians believe that Jesus knows and loves you, invites you into a relationship with him and offers forgiveness, new life and the gift of eternal life with God.
